              And so, what is cancer? --- Cancers are made up of cells. Normal cells grow in a controlled way. But cancer cells are different to normal cells. They go on and on growing. One cell becomes cancerous. This grows into two, then four, then eight and so on. By the time a cancer is big enough to see on a scan, or to feel as a lump, there are billions of cells in the tumour. As well as growing and growing, cancer cells may not stick together well, and are able to spread around the body.

Cancers start to develop because some of the information carried in the cell's DNA becomes altered in certain ways. This altered information might tell the cell to carry on and on growing and dividing instead of stopping. There are many different types of cells in the body and any of these can become cancerous. So there are many different types of cancer.

                           An UK research foundation had published that only 5% of breast cancer is due to genetical mutation.

          There are more than 200 types of cancer and 200 millions of factors and reasons for cancer.

          If cancer is diagnosed, there are again a number of treatments available depending upon the type and stage of cancer. It may be Surgery, Radiotherapy, Chemotherapy, Harmone therapy and so on. Even after all these treatments, cancer can COME BACK.........
